This past Saturday was perfect kite flying weather. Mind you I had never flown a kite before. After a few unsuccessful tries and nearly decapitating my husband I finally got the hang of it. It was so much fun. I can't wait to do it again. ; )

Food Porn of The Week: Spaghetti Carbonara

Cooking is very therapeutic to me. After a long and exhausting day at work there is nothing I look forward to more than creating a delicious meal. It gives me the chance to forget about all the events of the day and just concentrate on the task at hand. This recipe for spaghetti carbonara is super quick, super easy and super tasty. I mean really how comforting is pasta, cheese and bacon?

Today I took the day off of work for some me time. My mom, sister, and I headed into the city to get hair cuts. After than we headed to one of my all time favorite spots, Cafe Habana in Soho. If you go there you must and I mean MUST try the corn. It's like eating a little piece of heaven sprinkled with cotija cheese and chili powder. After that I went for a much needed mani/pedi. I have to thank Erika from Fashion Chalet for putting me on to Tart Deco by Essie. It's the perfect shade for spring.

Food Porn of the Week: Dinner at The Latin American

I wasn't in the mood to cook dinner today so, my hubby and I decided to go to one of our favorite local restaurants, The Latin American. The Latin American is a Cuban restaurant located in Union City, NJ. The food is incredible and the portions are insane for the price. He had his usual, the Bistec Empanizado {breaded steak}. I had the Bistec en Cazuela {steak casserole} special (only $6.95!!!). It's total comfort food that always hits the spot.

Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet Eisner has teamed up with Mac Cosmetics to create a limited edition cosmetics collection. The result is a bright, 80s inspired color palette. The collection is set to hit Mac stores on July 8th. Prices range from $12 for the nail polish to $19.50 for the pigments.

More Target Designer Collabos

If you haven't noticed I am a little obsessed with Target and their designer collaborations. I am marking April 18th on my calendar as this is the day both the Eugenia Kim hat collection and the Cynthia Vincent shoe collection will hit Target stores.
