An Ode To Christy Turlington

When I saw these Fall 2010 Louis Vuitton ads I literally had to pick my jaw up off the floor.  Don't get me wrong, I think the clothes are a work of art and the photos are stunning, BUT I couldn't not take my eyes off of Christy Turlington!  I have been OBSESSED with Ms. Turlington since the "Golden Age of The Supermodel" (the 90s).  It's like she hasn't aged a day in the last 20 years!  In my opinion, she epitomizes all the qualities of a true supermodel.  She's beyond stunning.

Food Porn of The Week: Chipotle Tamale Pie

This is another one of my "go to" recipes.  It's also one of my husband's favorite meals.    Be forewarned it's a little spicy.  You can adjust the level of spiciness by adding more or less of the chipotle.  I usually serve this with a dollop of sour cream and a mini heirloom tomato and avocado salad.  The salad is dressed with some salt, pepper, dried oregano, extra virgin olive oil, and red wine vinegar.  For the pie recipe click here.

Food Porn of The Week: Zucchini, Carrot, & Apple Muffins

I bumped into this recipe while looking through cookbooks at Barnes and Noble.  The flavor combination sounded so good to me that I decided to make it for our Father's Day brunch.  I must say these were quite delicious.  Even my non-veggie eating husband liked them.  Of course I didn't mention they had veggies until he finished eating one of them. Here is the recipe.  Just an FYI I added about 1/4 cup of sweetened shredded coconut and used golden raisins.

White Train Art Show

Chris (my husband) had his first art exhibit in NYC last week.  Words can't express how proud I am of him.  He along with several other artist displayed their work at a loft space in Soho.  We had a really great time.  I mean what could be better than great art, good music and free food and cocktails!? ; )
