Head Over Socked Heels
So the no socks with sandals "rule" has gone out the window. Pick up a recent issue of any major fashion magazine, or check out the fall collections from Marc Jacobs, Prada, Rodarte, and countless others and you will see this nerdy-chic trend. Here are a few sandal/sock combos...
I'm not completely sold on this look myself. Don't get me wrong, I think it looks super cute on other people, but I guess I just have to find the right sock/sandal combo. What are your thoughts on this trend?

Hm it can look cute on some people but somehow _I_ don't think I'd look so good...
ReplyDeleteI'm not sold sold, but I like it because it seems like it would make the sandals more comfortable :) I'd also have to find the right combo...and right outfit - which sounds like a lot of work to me!

I totally agree with you--haven't found my perfect "look" yet. However, I do love the whole socks with pumps and a pencil skirt look - it's totally librarian chic.

I'm not completely sold on this yet either, Erica. I'm willing to give it a try though, because i do think it's cute on other girls. I also love the idea of having the comfort of wearing socks under uncomfortable sandals.
